Alphotel Ettal

The place is nice, and has everything I need-excellent wi-fi, ski storage, and a lovely bar/lounge area. The staff even helped me find tasty food on my first stay. I'm definitely coming back for Easter!

Large breakfasts.

The staff were pretty friendly and assisted us with free parking. Comfortable beds, central heating, a personal safe and multi-channel TV in the room😃

the staff were competent and really helpful and the location was magnificent in a quiet area. further, it was just off a lovely valley popular with walkers, cyclists, hikers and the old town and plenty of bars & restaurants.

The spacious rooms offered fine views, and the ski storage was very convenient for our winter activities.

My kids wished for a more varied breakfast menu.

The welcome was superb.They were pleased to see us.We were taken to our rooms and all previous requests were catered for. Tea making facilities in the room,safe and minibar in which to keep our provided milk cold.We felt that "the team"cared and nothing was too much trouble for them, from the cleaning staff to top management.The hotel was well patronised by many foreign and national visitors.Ettal is a superb village with an Abbey/Brewery/cheese factory(excellent balcony coffee bar). Nice evening walks.Location excellent for Garmish Partenkirchen/Linderhof castle/Neuschwanstein/Hohenschwangau/Weiskirche not forgetting Mittenwald.Stayed an extra day it was so comfortable.

The Alphotel offers a charming, cozy retreat in a beautiful alpine setting! The Comfort Twin Room with Balcony provided fine views and a spacious environment. We loved that the hotel is pet-friendly and the breakfast was a good Bavarian spread including meats, cheeses, and fresh pastries. A great way to start the day!

Limited parking.

My room included a mini-fridge and a TV set. The location was good, relatively close to a Baroque church.

Good breakfast, excelent facilities (the spa is very nice), friendly staff and very clean rooms. Just go there and you will not regret. Iwill go back (and it wasn't my first time here).

Positive, The room wasvery comfy and tidy, and the balcony view was gorgeous. Loved the sound of cow bells! The vending machine downstairs was handy. Evening meals were tasty and reasonably priced. The indoor pool and sauna looked nice, though we didn't use them 😊

Delicious breakfast buffet

The Comfort Twin Room with Balcony had a great vibe! Super spacious for two, clean bathroom, and a mini fridge was a nice touch. The balcony view was fine, and the shared garden area was perfect. Breakfast was decent too, with some good vegetarian options. Just a heads-up, parking could be tricky during peak seasons. It felt cozy and comfortable.

The price was reasonable. The staff was very nice and spoke English very well. The food was very good. And it was close to Oberammergau. And it was quiet. I did not hear any traffic noise.
